Take a walking tour through the centre of Novi Sad. Close to the city centre there is a charming Danube park with a lake located just in front of the Museum of Vojvodina. See the National Theater and hear a story about it as it was the centre of Serbian culture during the Austro-Hungarian rule. You will see main city square with Catholic church, Episcopal palace, Orthodox curch of St. George (both curches are free to visit), City hall, Matica Srpska gallery and library.. Enjoy in walk through Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina street. Head for a walk to the Petrovaradin fortress over the bridge Rainbow. Climb up over 114 steps. Climbing these steps we will reach Upper Fortress. Expanding over 112 hectares, this fortification is the second largest in Europe. Finish at a local café or a restaurant.
