Two day Danube cruise Serbia

I day
Belgrade - Smederevo - Ram - Veliko Gradiste - Golubac - Djerdap gorge - Donji Milanovac - Kladovo

Meeting with passengers at the Belgrade's pier (Karađorđeva Street, next to Branko's Bridge) at 07.30. Departure of the ship at 08 hours. Cruise starts from the Belgrade Fortress towards Kladovo. Breakfast and lunch on board. Passing by the Smederevo fortress, then passing by the confluence of the Morava River into the Danube, medieval Ram fortress, next sight is the area where the Danube is the widest in the territory of Serbia. Cruise continues next to the Silver Lake and small town of Veliko Gradiste. Afterwards, cruise passes Golubac Fortress and then enters the area of the Djerdap National Park, also known as the Iron Gates. We cruise through the longest and deepest gorge in Europe where the Danube is most beautiful. Dock-in at Donji Milanovac after 7.5 hours of journey. Transfer by bus to Kladovo. Accommodation at the 4* hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

 

II day
Kladovo - ship lock Djerdap - Traiana - Decebal - Mali and Veliki Kazan - Donji Milanovac - Lepenski Vir - Viminacium - Belgrade
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 09 hours. Board the ship pier at Kladovo, cruise  through the biggest locks in Europe, continue sailing towards the next Tekke Trajan panel where the Roman emperor Trajan impressed his indelible mark on the wall. Lunch on board. Passing through Mali and Veliki Kazan and next character Dacia King Decebal carved in the rock.

Transfer by bus to dock Donji Milanovac - Leaving the ship in the port Donji Milanovac at 13h. Journey continues by bus and arrives at the archaeological site Lepenski vir, one of the oldest urban settlements in Europe and the world. The journey continues, and in addition to passing Golubac fortress built in the mid-fourteenth century, repeatedly demolished, rebuilt and reconstructed as a border fortress between Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. Visiting Viminacium, one of the first Roman fortifications and military camps on the Danube, which was built during the first century. Return to Belgrade by bus. Arrival in the evening.
